My short-term goals are to develop my skills and broaden my horizons as pertains to full stack development. I have experience using Pascal and FireMonkey to develop Front-end software; however, I realize that Javascript and CSS have a wider range of libraries that contain more up-to-date resources for front-end development. Paired with my knowledge of OOP in C++ and Python, as well as my experience using MySQL and Aurora, learning JS and CSS will allow me to develop more meaningful full-stack projects. My long-term goals consist of utilizing my full-stack developmental skills to continue to create production-grade software. In the past, I have created a full-stack application and scaled it to 2500+ users. However, in order to make a much larger impact, I would like to utilize my newfound skills at a Financial Technology company and develop tools that facilitate and automate financial transactions for people worldwide. This summer, I had the opportunity to attend the Wells Fargo ChangeMakers Summit at which I received insights into the practical applications of my skill set. I wholeheartedly believe after discussing with my fellow peers at this summit who are OHub members, that OHub would provide me the opportunity to engage with more FinTech companies and learn from the best to develop software that will be utilized by millions.
