Biography
Carolyn Barber-Pierre is the Asst VP for Intercultural Life and Executive Director of the Carolyn Barber -Pierre Center for Intercultural Life at Tulane University. For more than 42 years, she has been a voice for all under-represented student groups first gen, BIPOC, LGBTQ, Religious) at Tulane. Creating programs and services that create opportunities, community, and a sense of belonging that allows them to succeed and thrive. She is also an adjunct faculty in the Theatre and Dance Dept, and with her husband, Mestre Curtis Pierre co -lead the Afro Brazilian Drum and Dance Group, Casa Samba
